Whisper to your clients that the "creatives" are very sensitive and won't do their best work if they're criticized.

I'm going to sue whoever put this up. Don't think I don't know how you got your mitts on this. Mark my words, this secret will never get out. I'll see to that.

Tell them it takes at least 3 weeks to "concept" when you know in your heart that whatever you show them will have been thought up and shat out in under an hour.

Most likely the client came to because he/she has no imagination what-so-ever which makes it easy for those that do. I like to sit back and throw-up eight or ten scenarios that knock them senseless. Then it's just a matter of how much time you want to devote to their idea and charge them for the moon just because "you're worth it"!

When all else fails and the key account is teetering on the brink, put the client's president in the spot. That way, if sales continue to stay flat, it couldn't possibly be because of him. Then he'll throw more money at media just so all the blowhards at the Club will walk up to him on the putting green and say, "Hey, Al, saw you on that commercial last night during the football game. Lookin' sharp!"
hehehe. LOL.
